How a language model really works — from tokens to attention. On a small GPT in pure Python we show what happens inside as the model writes an answer.

We build a full RAG pipeline from scratch: document chunking, embeddings, retrieval, citations. It runs locally on your own machine, so you can repeat the whole thing at home. Running locally is not running for free — hardware, electricity and any calls to external models still count.
